~ FRAMED TEXT BOX TUT~
You will be making 2 or 3 graphics in this
tutorial to be used in a script.
A tile, a very large image and a nametag if you wish.
THE TILE
1. File/New/ 100x100 transparent background.
2. Floodfill it with a color of your choice.
(I used #8CF6E1 for this one)
.... Write the number down for later use.
3. Texturize it. (I suggest using a small texture so it will blend nicely).
4. Tile it so that it will be seamless. (I use a plugin filter; Simple/Quick Tile)
5. Save it as a .jpg and minimize it for now.
THE FRAME GRAPHIC
Example Only
Reduced by 50%
6. File/New/Image. 700 w x 600 h, transparent.
7. Floodfill it with the same color you used for the tile.
8. Double click on your selection tool and
your Select Area box will pop open.
.....
Type in, Left 100 Right 600 Top 100 Bottom 500. Click OK.
9. Selections/Invert. and floodfill the
selection with the 100x100 tile you made,
....
scale 100%.
10. Add a Drop Shadow, V 1, H 1, Op 75, Blur
2, Color Black.
...... Add another
drop shadow changing the V and H to -1.
...... Add another
drop shadow, V 4, H 4, Op 40, Blur 15, Color Black.
...... Add another
drop shadow changing the V and H to -4.
......
Selections/Select none.
11. Add a new raster layer and begin
decorating your frame.
...... ( I made
several layers and used tubes to decorate mine)
12. When you are finished decorating merge your layers and save as a .jpg.
THE NAMETAG

13. Choose your Selection Tool, set as
rectangle, and draw a rectangle in the center ...... of your
large graphic out to the size you want for a nametag.
.......
Edit/Copy; Edit/Paste As New Image.
14. Add a New Layer and Create your name tag in any fashion you wish. Save as .jpg
